Alcoa Australia has been operating in the south-west of Western Australia since 1963.
Our two bauxite mines (Huntly and Willowdale) and three alumina refineries (Kwinana, Pinjarra and Wagerup) are among the world’s best operations of their kind and add considerable value to the national, state and local economy.
Alcoa’s operations produce about 45% of Australia’s alumina. We value our place in the local communities where we operate and directly employ nearly 4,000 people.
As part of our desire to keep adding value to Western Australia and to meet contemporary expectations, we are seeking to modernise the environmental approvals for our Huntly Bauxite Mine and Pinjarra Alumina Refinery.
