Proud supporter of Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe since the start

As the beloved beachside exhibition makes a welcome return in 2026, Alcoa Australia celebrates 21 seasons of continuous partnership with Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe.
President of Alcoa Australia Elsabe Muller said the company was proud to have been there from the exhibition’s inception in 2005 when the imaginations of Perth people were first captured.
“As a Founding Partner and Major Sponsor, we cherish our long-standing association with the exhibition over the years as it has continued to grow and forge a strong place in people’s hearts,” Ms Muller said.
“At Alcoa Australia we understand our responsibility to make meaningful and lasting contributions to the places where we live, work and play.
“That is why we are proud to have supported Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe for every one of the 21 years it has brought people together on our beautiful coastline to experience the joy and wonder of the arts.”
Now an international drawcard, a total of 70 artists from 8 countries will showcase their artwork in this year’s exhibition which is expected to attract around 250,000 visitors.
Ms Muller said aluminium - the essential metal Alcoa Australia produces - was favoured by many of the exhibiting sculptors because of its strength, light weight and non-corrosive properties.
“These same attributes make aluminium an essential component in many of the things people see and use every day - from bikes and buses, mobile phones and medical equipment to solar panels and skyscrapers - as well as being a vital metal to decarbonise our future,” she said.
In 2026, Alcoa Australia’s support will fund the $10,000 Alcoa Aluminium Sculpture Award for the best artwork made of aluminium as well as the School Education Program that offers students from far and wide, including the communities where Alcoa Australia operates, a backstage pass to the exhibition and artistic process.
Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe runs from 6 to 23 March 2026. For more information visit http://www.sculpturebythesea.com/cottesloe/
