Alcoa Foundation releases 2021 Annual Report, overviews Foundation impact through global giving
Alcoa Foundation has released its 2021 Annual Report, which provides an overview of the Foundation’s impact and a few of its 2021 programs.
In 2021, Alcoa Foundation contributed US$7.2 million to charitable organizations internationally, including US$3.2M to environmental causes, US$3M to access to education and skill building opportunities, and over US$500,000 to COVID-19 and humanitarian aid relief.
Titled “Ongoing resiliency and New Opportunities,” the report highlights the Foundation’s continued focus on providing pandemic relief to communities in need, while resuming regular programming and engaging new partners in education and workforce development. It also recognizes the Foundation’s partners responsible for implementing the great work that contributes to a more sustainable future.
“We are proud of the impact we were able to achieve last year along with our exceptional nonprofit partners and volunteers,” said Rosa Garcia Pineiro, President of Alcoa Foundation and Vice President of Alcoa Sustainability. “We look forward to continuing to support programs that drive sustainable change in the communities where Alcoa has a presence.”
