Alcoa appoints Yati Varshneya as Vice President Operations – Europe


Alcoa Corporation has appointed Yati Varshneya as Vice President Operations – Europe.

Based in London, Yati will be responsible for Alcoa’s alumina and aluminium operations across the region, overseeing safe, reliable and efficient performance while advancing the company’s operational, sustainability and people priorities. 

Yati joins Alcoa with extensive leadership experience across complex industrial and operational environments. She brings a strong track record in cross-functional leadership, transformation and stakeholder engagement with deep expertise in driving performance, strengthening safety culture and embedding continuous improvement across diverse operating portfolios. 

Alcoa Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer Matt Reed said Yati’s appointment further strengthened Alcoa’s global operations leadership team.

“Yati brings a strong combination of operational discipline, strategic thinking and inclusive leadership,” Matt said. “She has a clear focus on safety, people development and operational excellence, and we are confident she will play a key role in continuing to strengthen our European operations.” 

As Vice President Operations – Europe, Yati will focus on driving consistent performance across the region, supporting long-term value creation, and ensuring Alcoa’s operations continue to meet the expectations of employees, communities, regulators and customers.

Yati said she was excited to join Alcoa and to lead the company’s European operations.
