Community Impact Campaign Delivers Global Reach, Deep Local Impact

The Alcoa Foundation is proud to highlight the outcomes of its 2025 Community Impact Campaign, a global volunteer and grantmaking initiative mobilizing Alcoans to deliver support, solidarity and sustainable impact in their communities around the world.
Through the campaign, the Foundation — working alongside local teams via location Foundation representatives — organized 26 volunteer events at 30 sites worldwide. In total, over 400 Alcoans donated their time, contributing more than 1,500 volunteer hours toward causes spanning food security, youth wellbeing, environmental stewardship, social inclusion and more. The Foundation granted approximately US$450,000 to local nonprofit partners selected by each site.
Wide Range of Causes, One Shared Purpose
From Australia to Brazil, Canada to Norway, Spain to the United States — Alcoans supported causes aligned with the Foundation’s three core priorities: Community Resilience (education, health, food security), Economic Resilience (skills and workforce development), and Landscape Resilience (environmental stewardship and climateaware initiatives).
Among the many initiatives:
- Food access programs and healthysnack preparation for children in Portneuf, Canada
- Breast cancer awareness and support in São Paulo, Brazil and San Ciprián, Spain
- Volunteer efforts aiding homeless youth in Western Australia through donationsorting
- Environmental and community projects including shelterdog care in Hungary, street cleanup in Norway and recreationspace upgrades in Iceland
- Trail restoration and tree planting for a future veterans’ retreat in Indiana, USA
