Our 2020 goal: 50% recycled content
Recycling aluminum products is more than just the right thing to do for the environment. For any aluminum maker, it's a key strategy for reducing production costs.

Recycling aluminum is dramatically less expensive than making it from ore. Because it's melting, not smelting, it requires just a fraction of the energy--with no difference in quality.

We have been a leader in recycling aluminum can sheet for more than twenty years, working closely with customers to capture as much recycled material as possible from the process.

We are reaching beyond the can industry with a goal announced in 2002:  at least 50% recycled content in aluminum produced for internal consumption by 2020. This goal, a new industry benchmark, includes not just can sheet but ingot as well.
