Alcoa publishes annual United Nations Global Compact Communication on Progress report

Alcoa continues to participate in and show support for the United Nations Global Compact. Earlier this week, Alcoa issued highlights of its actions and progress toward the 10 Principles through a publicly submitted Communication on Progress

“Issuing our Communication on Progress (COP) is a telling roadmap of the work by Alcoans to chart a more sustainable future for the aluminum industry and we made significant progress toward that goal in 2021,” explained Rosa García Pineiro, Alcoa Vice President of Sustainability and President of Alcoa Foundation. “Alcoa Corporation is committed to supporting and upholding the principles of the United Nations Global Compact and we are guided by our purpose to turn raw potential into real progress.”

In 2021, Alcoa made important progress against each of the 10 Principles. We have highlighted these actions and their measurable impacts in our 2021Communication on Progress (COP).
