Day 7, Sept 21, 2018
This expedition was one of the best things I have ever done in my life, and I am so happy to have the chance to see all these other Alcoa employees from all over the planet. I got to see how the scientists worked on climate change research in the Pyrenees mountain range. Today I helped to measure the diameter of trees using dbh tape (diameter at breast height) and tag birds that were captured in mist nests, for example. I learned a lot about the sustainability in this fantastic trip with Earthwacth and Alcoa people. I learned about the climate change, like how the heat is going up and if we do nothing then it is not good for the future of our planet. The Earthwatch staff helped me understand better the meaning of climate change, and I will do my best to spread sustainability and help my coworkers to do the best that they can do. Thank so must for this opportunity.
