Salvation Army Kroc Center

In 2008 and 2009, Massena Operations recommended that the Alcoa Foundation award a total grant of $60,000 in support of the Massena Salvation Army’s proposal to build a Kroc Community Center. Community support for the Center has been strong and construction is slated to begin in Spring, 2009.

Employee Food Drive

Each year, Massena Alcoans hold fundraisers all year long and collect donations for the local food pantries. The Food Drive culminates with the presentation of checks to the Salvation Army, the Neighborhood Center, Society of St. Vincent de Paul and Meals on Wheels to support their holiday food basket drives. In December, 2008, a total of $21,000 was presented to the four organizations on behalf of the Employee Food Drive.
