Through our partnership with Chelan County PUD, Wenatchee Works continues to be an economic force in the community. By continuing to employ 400 people, we accounted for nearly 2.4 percent of total employment in Chelan County in 2003. Our operations accounted for $34.9 million in personal income (2.0 percent of the county personal income) and $1.4 million in local taxes (2.5 percent of county local taxes). According to some estimates, our plant raised county per capita income by $77. |
