Employees help make Christmas brighter for children

As part of an annual safety challenge, Alcoa employees at Warrick Operation worked together to obtain a $5,000 donation from Alcoa Warrick Operations for the Salvation Army's Toy Town program.

Alcoa Warrick Operations announces 2012 Alcoa Foundation grants

Representatives from 19 different non-profit organizations came together on Dec. 13 to celebrate the Foundation's investment of $307,500 in the local community.

Minority students attend Support and Development event

Warrick Operations recently welcomed minority students from the local school systems to discuss career opportunities and provide mentoring during a 5th annual event.

Environmental staff hosts water-quality workshop for students
In October, Alcoa employees hosted students from two Warrick County high schools for a Water Quality Workshop, which provided hands-on learning for those with strong interest in chemistry and science

ACTION grants benefit community organizations

Based on the volunteer work of Alcoa employees in the community, the Alcoa Foundation will provide $70,500 in ACTION (Alcoans Coming Together in Our Neighborhood Grants), based on volunteer work from Alcoa employees in 2012. The Foundation can award $1,500 when four or more Alcoa employees volunteer 20 hours for a qualifying non-profit oganization. Or, $3,000 can be awarded when eight employees volunteer 40 hours or more on a volunteer project.
