Warrick hosts Community Meeting

Members of the community learned more about Warrick Operations recently during the 6th Alcoa Community Annual Meeting, which featured multiple booths and opportunities to strengthen relationships with stakeholders.

U.S. Senator Dan Coats visits Warrick Operations 

After a visit to Alcoa Warrick Operations, U.S. Sen. Dan Coats of Indiana said he was impressed by the complexity of the facility and the work that goes into creating the coils of aluminum sheet used by customers across the globe.





Alcoa in the winner’s circle with Junior Achievement sponsorship

Warrick Operations’ race team put the pedal to the “metal” and competed in the 16th Annual Junior Achievement Grand Prix fundraising event.












Sons and daughters honored at banquet

Warrick Operations was very well represented in this year’s Alcoa Foundation Sons and Daughters Scholarship program which recognizes outstanding academic achievement by high school seniors. A total 180 students from 46 Alcoa locations were selected as winners in 2011, with five scholarships awarded to children of Warrick employees.






Employees hold the key to sustainability

Representatives from Alcoa locations around the world visited Warrick in June in an effort to share and benchmark

ways to improve energy efficiency.








Household Hazardous Waste Day record turn-out 

A record number of Warrick County residents came to Alcoa Warrick Operations for the annual Hosuehold Hazardous Waste and Electroncis Recycling Day.









Universities recycle thousands of pounds during RecycleMania contest – UE finishes at the top

The University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana recycled more than 67,000 pounds of material during the 8-week RecycleMania contest, which was sponsored nationally by the Alcoa Foundation.





Alcoa employees drive safety improvements

In May, representatives from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana (TMMI) visited Warrick Operations to benchmark the processes and initiatives that are helping Alcoa be one of the safest in the area and industry.
