AFS Simi Valley recognized for outstanding community service

Today the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce presented AFS-Simi Valley with their Legacy Award. This is the second time in over 50 years that the Chamber has given out this award for all the Community Service, volunteer programs, and community grants Alcoa Simi Valley particpates in.

In addition to the Legacy Award, AFS Simi Valley also received:

"Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition" from Congressman Elton Gallegly, presented by his Chief of Staff Brian Miller

Certificates of Recognition from the California State Legislature; one from Assembly Member Cameron Smyth and one from Assembly Member Audra Strickland

Certificate of Congratulations from the Ventura County Board of Supervisors presented by Ventura County Supervisor, Peter Foy

Certificate of Commendation from the City of Simi Valley presented by Mayor Paul Miller, signed by him and all the City Council Members
