Alcoa Dura-Flange® Forged Aluminium Wheels
Specially treated to reduce or eliminate rim flange wear
New Alcoa Dura-Flange® wheels have half the rim flange wear of traditional aluminium wheels - or less.
Alcoa Dura-Flange® wheels have a patented treatment on the wheel that provides a protective shield to prevent rim wear. This design feature makes Dura-Flange® wheels most appropriate for applications where loads are heavy and prone to shifting, causing tyre walls to rub against the wheel rims. Alcoa Dura-Flange® wheels are the only aluminium wheels on the market today that are protected from this type of wear, giving them at least double the life of other aluminium wheels in applications like transit bus, tanker and heavy hauling, in particular logging. And, in heavy hauling applications, Dura-Flange® wheels can also be specified to extend the life of wheels which are used under extreme conditions.
By improving wheel durability and wear resistance, Alcoa Dura-Flange® wheels offer enhanced performance and productivity - and delay replacement costs for many more miles.
Road test results: We put Dura-Flange® wheels to the test and found that after 150,000 miles, there were no signs of rim flange wear.

Do not exceed maximum wheel load. Customer must compare OEM vehicle load rating to maximum wheel load rating. Do not overinflate. Refer to the tyre manufacturer's recommendation for proper tyre pressure. Before mounting the tyre, perform a wheel fitment check to ensure proper clearance from any obstructions. Due to the Dura-Flange® treatment process, the wheels may experience some slight discoloration on the tyre side of the rim.
No special maintenance is required for Dura-Flange® wheels.

Wear Protected
Look for this sticker on the wheel and a "DF" suffix on the part number. These guarantee that the wheel has been treated with Dura-Flange® surface treatment for reduced rim flange wear.
