Health and safety
Safety is a priority in our company and all employees are
educated and trained in safety issues. We want our workplace to be a safe place
for all of us; it is important to feel safe at work and we aim for zero
accidents.
Fjardaál also watches out for the employees' health who have
access to wide-ranging welfare programs. These include access to doctors,
nurses, psychologists, lawyers and other professionals, free of charge, if
needed.
The Health Center in the smelter monitors the employees' health
and applies preventive measures to help them maintain their physical and
mental wellness.
