The Conference Board Chief EH&S Officers' Council (Member)
The purpose of this council is to provide senior executives with the opportunity and means to develop and achieve their corporations' strategic EH&S goals by fostering the intellectual exchange of ideas and the sharing of applied best practices; providing a structured environment for ongoing professional development and problem-solving, as well as a forum for outreach to government, NGOs, and other corporate functions; and advancing leading practices for integrating EH&S into global business strategies.

Earthwatch Institute (Partner)
Earthwatch Institute supports scientific field research by offering volunteers the opportunity to join research teams around the world. Each year, 15 Alcoa employees participate in research expeditions as part of the company's support of the organization.

International Aluminium Institute (Member)
The IAI is the global forum of aluminum producers dedicated to the development and wider use of aluminum as a competitive and uniquely valuable material. The organization supports the concept that aluminum is a material that lends itself to improving world living standards and developing a better and sustainable world environment.

International Council on Mining & Metals (Member)
Alcoa is a member of ICMM, an industry group that works to ensure a viable mining, minerals and metals industry is widely recognized as essential for modern living and a key contributor to sustainable development.

Organizational Resource Counselors Executive Business Issues Forum (Participant)
This group provides a forum for senior corporate officials with lead environment, health, and safety responsibilities to engage in candid and confidential discussions of critical business issues with other corporate thought leaders; engage in formal and informal benchmarking to assist in developing business strategies and solutions for effective EH&S management; and develop plan actions to address selected issues of interest to members.

Pew Center on Global Climate Change (Member)
The Pew Center on Global Climate Change was established in 1998 as a non-profit, non-partisan and independent organization. Its mission is to provide credible information, straight answers, and innovative solutions in the effort to address global climate change.

United States Climate Action Partnership (USCAP)
(Founding Member)
USCAP is an alliance of major businesses and leading climate and environmental groups that have come together to call on the federal government to enact legislation requiring significant reductions of greenhouse gas emissions.

World Business Council for Sustainable Development (Member)
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is a coalition of 180 international companies—including Alcoa—united by a shared commitment to sustainable development via the three pillars of economic growth, ecological balance, and social progress.

World Economic Forum (Member)
Alcoa is a member of the WEF Global Greenhouse Gas Register, which enables multinational companies to voluntarily disclose, monitor, and compare their GHG emissions across the world.

World Resources Institute Green Power Market Development Group (Charter Member)
The Green Power Market Development Group is a collaboration of 12 leading corporations, including Alcoa, and the World Resources Institute dedicated to building corporate markets for green power. The group's goal is to develop corporate markets for 1000 megawatts of new, cost competitive green power by 2010.
