Tennessee Operations has grown from a producer of primary aluminum to a recognized world leader in the manufacture of high quality aluminum sheet. From East Tennessee, Alcoa produces and delivers aluminum can sheet that ends up on store shelves across America and all around the world. Yet, even while competing worldwide, Alcoa continues to keep strong roots in the community, where its more than 1,000 employees live and work.
Leadership award presented to Ray
Congratulations to former Alcoa Tennessee Operations Manager Dick Ray. He was honored May 13 at the Leadership Blount Community Leadership Awards. The award signifies the community’s recognition of Mr. Ray’s remarkable accomplishments throughout his 40-year career and even into retirement.
As part of the ceremony, Tennessee State Senator Doug Overbey (R) read and presented a proclamation recognizing Mr. Ray for his outstanding examples of leadership and community stewardship.
