Make the world a greener place for future generations with Alcoa’s sustainability toolkit. From videos to posters to apps to graphics, our toolkit provides everything you need to promote recycling in your community. With your help, we can meet our goal of raising the U.S. recycling rate to 75 percent by 2015. To that end, we invite you to celebrate America Recycles Day (November 15) with our toolkit.
Youth Recycling Drive – DoSomething.org and Alcoa Foundation are leading the largest youth-led can recycling drive in America. Encourage family or friends between the ages of 13-25 to visit www.dosomething.org/50cans or text 50CANS to 38383 to get involved. Those who participate and share with their friends will be entered into a lottery to win $5,000.
Recycling Social Change Campaign – Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and the Ad Council have partnered with important industry stakeholders, including the Alcoa Foundation, to craft a muli-year social change campaign to increase recycling. To learn more, email KAB.
Action to Accelerate Recycling – Alcoa, Alcoa Foundation and KAB are pursuing “Action to Accelerate Recycling” – a national initiative to increase U.S. recycling rates. The initiative will generate awareness, create incentives, and provide recycling access and infrastructure to increase U.S. recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass and paper. To participate, email Alcoa Recycling.
