Tim Myers is Group President, Alcoa Transportation and Construction Solutions (TCS).  In this role, his responsibilities include oversight of two key Alcoa business units: Alcoa Wheel & Transportation Products (AWTP) and Building & Construction Systems (BCS), both leaders in innovating aluminum solutions within their respective markets. TCS operates businesses throughout North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. Tim is also a member of the Alcoa Executive Council, the team that sets strategic direction for the company.
 
Tim was previously President of Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products (AWTP), a business that leads the market for forged aluminum wheels and other structures that serve the commercial transportation industry.  AWTP has operations in North America, Europe, China, South Africa, Australia and Japan.  Prior to this assignment, Tim was Vice President and General Manager, Commercial Vehicle Wheels for the Alcoa Wheel Products business, in which capacity he oversaw global Alcoa truck wheel plants as well as sub-assembly and logistics sites in the U.S. and Canada.
 
Tim joined Alcoa in 1991 as an automotive applications engineer in the Commercial Rolled Products Division, based in Southfield, Michigan. He transitioned into marketing assignment for the Alcoa Mill Products business in Chicago and Alcoa Forged Products in Detroit, selling primarily to U.S. automakers.  In 1998, he became Sales and Marketing Manager for Alcoa’s OEM and aftermarket wheel business, progressing to Director, Commercial Operations, and then General Manager of Alcoa’s Forged Automotive and Specialty Wheels business, which makes wheels for trailers, RVs, motorcycles, pickups and SUVs.  Prior to joining Alcoa, Tim was a product design engineer for Ford Motor Company. 
 
Tim has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor.
