Message to the carriers from Alcoa Massena Operations:

Safety is our highest priority. To ensure your visit to our facility is a safe one, ALL drivers must follow the safety rules set forth at our facility. Zero tolerance for non-compliance.

Shipping / Receiving

Shipping: Casthouse Bldg. 222 Loading Dock

Equipment types allowed:

Billet: Open top high-sided vans, Flatbed, Side-kit, NO Step-deck, NO Low-boy. Coiled rod: Dry vans, 20' Containers

Commodities:

Billet (rounds) - dia. 8", 9", 11", 15", 16", 18" x length range 135" - 288". 100% overhead crane loading for billet. Coiled rod - 5,000# - 5,600# per coil. Drive-on loading with fork-lift truck.

Special requirements:

Safety PPE required, engine must be shut off, brakes engaged, at least one front wheel chocked, and positive engagement with doc-loc mechanism. Driver MUST exit his cab and move to designated "safe" area during the loading process.

Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Safety equipment required, tractor must remain attached to trailer at all times. Dock Leveler system use required.
