$10,000 for Mandurah Wildlife Rescue
Alcoa Huntly Mine Manager Brett Hodges volunteered at the animal rescue shelter on the weekend and said that it was an honour to present the cheque.
“It gave me great pleasure to present the US$10,000 cheque to the Mandurah Wildlife Centre in recognition of the organisation’s dedication to making a difference in the Peel region,” Brett said.
“The volunteers here do such an amazing and inspiring job and it’s great that we can support them in this way.”
This activity follows a vast amount of volunteering that has already occurred this month as hundreds of Alcoa employees have participated in Month of Service. Already employees have volunteered with Reach Out Drop in Centre Mandurah, Pinjarra Family Church, Murray Equestrian Centre and Dwellingup Primary School. Further volunteering is planned for Pat Thomas House, Mandurah Catholic College, Mandurah Wildlife Rescue and Beddingfield Park Inc.
