In this video, filmed last year near Jarrahdale in WA, Alcoa’s recently retired Biodiversity Director Dr Andrew Grigg explains how topsoil trials conducted in 1976 have informed our understanding and ongoing improvement of rehabilitation, leading to the reestablishment of jarrah forest that delivers a broad range of biodiversity values and blends in with surrounding unmined areas.
