Recreation, Aesthetics and Shoreline Management
The Yadkin Project provides many land and water-based recreation opportunities. Studies being conducted under the Recreation, Aesthetics, and Shoreline Management IAG include a recreation facility inventory and use assessment, a recreation economic evaluation, and a regional recreation assessment. The IAG is also considering the visual conditions and scenic quality at the Project. The IAG is also examining the Yadkin Project Shoreline Management Plan (SMP) in comparison to shoreline management plans that are in place at other area hydropower reservoirs.
