High Rock Reservoir will be gradually lowered this fall to accommodate a NC Department of Transportation project.  A drawdown of up to 14 feet below the full pool reservoir elevation is necessary for the NC DOT to examine the causeway at State Route 2150 (St. Matthews Church Road) and develop a repair plan. More

The High Rock Reservoir drawdown is a good time to clean up the reservoir shoreline.  APGI will provide dumpsters for collected trash and other debris at the Southmont Access Area in Davidson County off of Highway 8 and the Dutch Second Creek Access Area in Rowan County off of Stokes Ferry Road October through November.  Please remember that shoreline cleanup must be conducted in accordance with the Shoreline Stewardship Policy.
