Alcoa-Sponsored Team Wins Football League Title

The Alcoa-sponsored Carenage United Football Team has won the 2006 Northern Football Association's Senior League in Trinidad and Tobago. Competing in the league for the first time, Alcoa Carenage United scored an inspiring 13 - 0 victory over Copious United to win the title. The team also collected the Knock-out Championship; and won the Superstars, Senior Team of the Year, and Coach of the Year awards at the 2006 Winner Awards function. This series of successes, achieved through hard work, dedication and faithful commitment, has earned Alcoa Carenage United promotion to the National Semi-Professional Super League in 2007. Three Alcoans directly support the team by sitting on the team's management committee.
