Since 1913, Alcoa's Tennessee Operations has produced thousands of different products for the construction, aerospace, military, consumer and other markets. During that time, Tennessee Operations has evolved into one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world.
Today, Tennessee Operations is dedicated solely to the production of high quality molten metal and aluminum sheet for beverage cans and is a recognized world leader in the business. It is one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world and is home to two of Alcoa's Business Units -- Primary Metals and the Rigid Packaging Division.
Tennessee Operations has grown from a simple producer of aluminum, to a recognized world leader in the production of high quality aluminum can sheet. From East Tennessee, Alcoa produces and delivers aluminum can sheet that ends up on store shelves across America and in all parts of the world. Yet, even while competing worldwide, Alcoa continues to keep strong roots in the community, where our people live and work.

Innovative Approach to Environmental Management
Tennessee Operations has been recognized within Alcoa and by the state of Tennessee for its innovative approach to environmental management. In addition, through Alcoa Foundation grants, community service and employee charitable giving, Alcoa has given more than $5 million to the community since 1989.
