Alcoa Foundation launches Annual Report

Alcoa Foundation has launched the 2011 annual report. The report is designed to educate Alcoa stakeholders about the Foundation’s mission, achievements and impacts in the communities where we operate.  The Foundation also hopes it will inspire more partnerships and greater employee, retiree and community involvement.  Read the report.

Annual Report to the Community released

Alcoa Tennessee Operations is gearing up for a special year-long celebration of 100 years in Blount County.  Plans will be announced in the coming months, but as a prelude, we were happy to share this advertisement with the community today.  The full-page ad in both the Daily Times and the News Sentinel recognizes the strong principles that Alcoa was built upon – principles that remain important today.

Many thanks to our community and our employees.  As you’ll see in the report, employees donated 4,000 volunteer hours in support of more than 30 local non-profit organizations last year.  That giving spirit runs deep and dates back to 1913 when the first Alcoans in East Tennessee opened our South Plant facilities.

Future editions of Aluminews will provide glimpses into Alcoa’s past, but more importantly a look into the future of the operations.
