Heartfelt Thanks
Suralco in Paranam, Suriname presented a US$26,000 grant to ’s Lands Hospitaal (slends hospital) to fund equipment for a coronary care unit with electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring. The grant will help fill a local need, as the hospital is the oldest general hospital in the country and the number of patients with heart disease is growing. The hospital staff was grateful for the grant, which is expected to help decrease complications associated with heart attacks.
