Alcoa Amorebieta obtains the Silver Q from the Basque Foundation for Quality

The prize will be awarded on December 20 during a ceremony presided over by the Lehendakari (regional president) at the Euskalduna Palace
The aluminum lamination plant of Alcoa in Amorebieta has been granted the "Silver Q" by the Basque Foundation for Quality, EUSKALIT, which is an award granted by the Basque Government in recognition for the level of adherence to the Industrial Management Model of Excellence (EFQM - European Foundation for Quality Management), with the object of promoting improvement and innovation in management, as well as the development of Total Quality in all areas of society.
The "Silver Q," obtained by Alcoa Amorebieta the first time it applied for the qualification granted by the External Evaluation Board of Euskalit, awards the results obtained as a consequence of continued improvement efforts and excellence, as a shared goal by the workers of the center, which has elevated the plant to a position of recognition in the world of management.
The Lehendakari of the Basque Government will preside over the award ceremony of the Euskalit "Gold Q" and the "Silver Q" awards, to take place next December 20 at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, at which several assessors and a large group representing the Euskadi management are also expected to attend.
In addition to the institutional ceremony, the Alcoa Plant in Amorebieta will hold an internal celebration in recognition of the contribution made by the workers to this group objective, during which a representative of the Basque Government will present a certificate and plaque with the Euskalit "Q."
