Market Development Manager – Upstream Oil & Gas
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Develop working relations with approximately 40 potential customers in Russia and CIS, including both the customer headquarters in Moscow and field operations throughout CIS
  • Attend industry events, organize participation, participate in developing presentation materials
  • Prospect sales opportunities, bring inquiries, prioritize, prepare offers, follow and close sales
  • Develop annual Budget, and rolling Sales forecast.
  • Achieve the budget sales for the only existing product – aluminum drill pipe.
  • Collect competitive intelligence
  • Suggest pricing strategies to maximize product profitability
  • Explore opportunities for new drill string products, production tubing and casing; work with customers to define customer technical needs and product features
  • Work with plant technical personnel and Alcoa Tech. Center on new product development
 
Focus Points:
  • Develop customers in Upstream Oil and Gas, primarily for drilling applications, close sales
  • Contribute to market research and analysis
  • Perform post-Sales service, collect customer experience, build knowledge of product performance
  • Contribute to Alcoa overall knowledge base in this exciting new product line
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Geology, Drilling, Mechanical Engineering
  • Business Education, Advanced degrees
  • Min 7-years in Technical Service
  • Sales of which Minimum 3 years in supplying to Upstream Oil & Gas
  • Experience in Oilfield Services Companies or in drilling departments of Oil Companies highly desirable
  • Project ownership and work commitment
  • Innovative and “can do” attitude
  • Developed interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Computer literacy (Excel – ability to build simple models, Word, PowerPoint, Browsers. MS Project (desirable)
  • Languages: fluency in English and Russian (writing and verbal).
 
Skills/attributes:
  • Excellent people skills: persuasive, diplomatic yet authoritative, able to work with people across the organization as well as with external customers
  • Goal-oriented approach
  • Able to evaluate, resolve problems and to adapt quickly to new situations if necessary
  • Strong communicator in both writing and speaking English
 
Conditions:
  • Location – Preferably, living in Samara or Moscow or willing to relocate to Samara
  • Travel required (% of time to be spend for business traveling)20-50 %
