ZAO Alcoa Metallurg Rus To Develop Cookware Business

The development of a complex strategy to expand cookware business of ZAO Alcoa Metallurg Rus (ZAO AMR) is currently taking place. Through its completion and stage-by-stage implementation the company expects to increase production volumes, reinforce competitive positions at the Russian and CIS markets, and improve financial results. This was shared by Alexander Sorofanov, recently appointed Cookware Commercial Director.

Alcoa Cookware Business in Russia has been an industry leader for many years. The products of this business have received important awards several times, including laureate diplomas of such prestigious national competitions as “The Russian Brand” and “100 Russian Best Products”.

“For the last several years the cookware business of our company has been developing dynamically but I am sure there are numerous internal reserves to help us strengthen our competitiveness and exercise even greater focus on our consumers’ preferences”, said Alexander Sorofanov.

ZAO Alcoa Metallurg Rus is the leading producer of fabricated aluminum in the South of Russia. The plant produces a wide range of flat rolled products, extrusions, tubes and forgings in compliance with international and Russian standards.

The facility traditionally supplies aerospace, automotive, building and construction and other industries.

The plant’s quality management system is certified to comply with the following standards: BS EN 9100:2003, ISO 9001:2000, EN 9104:P1 for aluminum and fabricated aluminum production - ingots, plate, sheet, coils, profiles, tubes, forgings and extrusions.
