Mikhail Fedorov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Samara Metallurgical Plant is elected the Chairman of the Economic, Industry, Agriculture and Entrepreneurship Commission of the Public Chamber of the Samara Region

Mikhail Fedorov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Samara Metallurgical Plant has been elected the Chairman of the Economic, Industry, Agriculture and Entrepreneurship Commission of the Public Chamber of the Samara Region.
The law of the Samara region “About the Public Chamber†from February 11, 2008 was voted through by the Samara Regional Parliament (Duma) on January 29, 2008.
According to the document, the Public Chamber of the Samara Region provides interaction of the citizens of the Russian Federation resident in the Samara Region, as well as non-profit organizations registered in the Samara Region with the State and the Samara Region’s local authorities.
The Public Chamber’s aim is to insure participation of the local community representatives in the discussion of the vital economic, social, and cultural development issues in the Samara Region, as well as in development of the civil society institutions in the region.
Mikhail Fedorov said: “I think that the activity of the Public Chamber of the Samara region, as a tool of building a civil society, will help the regional authorities to make better considered decisions. Active, competent and respectful people have been elected to the Chamber. They know the life and problems of the region and constantly communicate with the people. I hope that my own knowledge and long experience at the Samara Metallurgic Plant will help me in my position as Chairman of the Economic, Industry, Agriculture and Entrepreneurship Commission, and that the Commission activity will contribute to the economic development of the region.
Mikhail Fedorov was born on November 14, 1948. He graduated from Kuibyshev Aviation Institute, department for metal treatment under pressure, as engineer in metallurgy. Mikhail is a Candidate of Science and an Honorable Metallurgist of Russia in science and technology.
Mikhail Fedorov started his career in 1971 at Kuibyshev Metallurgical plant (now Samara Metallurgical plant) and went through working professions to achieve the position of Location Manager.
From 1998 he held the position of Location Manager Samara Metallurgical plant.
In 1998-2003, 2005-2008 he has been working as Location Manager of JSC SMZ.
Since July 2008 he has been serving as Chairman on the Board of Directors of Samara Metallurgical plant.
