Ivan Osmachko was born on the 19th of January, 1947 in Kvazenga village of Ustyanskiy district, Arkhangelsk Region.
He started his career in 1965 in Studentskiy logging enterprise in Arkhangelsk Region, after finishing a secondary school. In 1966-1968 he served in the Soviet army.
In 1968 he started working as a press operator in a Rod and Profile shop of Belaya Kalitva Metallurgical Plant (currently named ZAO Alcoa Metallurg Rus).
In 1969 he was sent to take his studies in Moscow Aircraft Technological Institute, he graduated from it in 1975 with qualification of engineer-metallurgist in metal forming.
In 1975 he came back to Belaya Kalitva Metallurgical Plant. He worked as Foreman, Senior foreman of Press Area, Deputy Shop Manager and then Rod and Profile Shop Manager, Extrusions Shop Manager, Acting Manager of Forgings & Extrusions.
Since April 28, 2006, he has been Location Manager of Alcoa Metallurg Rus (former Belaya Kalitva Metallurgical Production Association).
