Alcoa Automotive Castings Names Grethe Hindersland Plant Manager

First Female Plant Manager Appointed at SCC

Hindersland, who is currently production manager at SCC, will assume her new responsibilities effective February 1, 2006. She replaces Roy Hammer, who has been named senior vice president of Elkem Aluminium, a general partnership owned 50 percent by Elkem and 50 percent by Alcoa.

Before being named SCC production manager in 2004, Hindersland held a variety of positions at SCC with increasing responsibility including production supervisor, tooling manager and Alcoa Business System (ABS) manager. She joined Alcoa in 1996 as a production engineer after serving in the Norwegian Air Force.
