Alcoa European Mill Products Increases Up Charges for Commercial Rolled Products |

Geneva - September 14, 2007 - Alcoa European Mill Products (EMP) announced today a review of the up charges for alloyed products with high Manganese and Magnesium content.
During 2007 EMP has been experiencing important price increases for Manganese, Magnesium and for other alloy elements used in flat rolled products. Further price increases have been already announced and will be implemented for the 4th Quarter 2007. This consolidated trend obliges EMP to review all up charges for the alloyed products where the Manganese and Magnesium content is important. The price review will be applied to the 3xxx, 4xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx and 8xxx alloy families.
The magnitude of the increase will be between 10 and 60 Euro/Tons depending on the alloy family. It will be implemented for all new orders delivered after October 1st, 2007. All existing orders and binding contracts confirmed before this date will be honored.
