Alcoa Australia Rolled Products operates an aluminium rolling mill at Point Henry near Geelong in Victoria, and an aluminium rolling mill and aluminium recycling facility at Yennora in Western Sydney.
The business manufactures aluminium sheet for everyday products including drink cans, screw-cap closures for wine bottles, aluminium foil and takeaway food containers, as well as building materials, road signs and aluminium boats.
Around 200,000 tonnes of aluminium rolls out of our two plants every year, of which over 50 per cent is exported, mainly to the rapidly growing markets in Asia.
