Making an Impact at the Store

It’s not always easy to see how the choices we make at the local store can have an impact on a global problem like climate change. But they do.

Each of us can help by paying just a little more attention to the products we buy -- what they’re made of, where they come from, how they got to the store, how we can dispose of them and more. Using this information, we can make better, smarter choices for the environment.

Protecting the climate doesn’t have to mean giving up today’s conveniences. It simply means making the connection between climate change and our choices as consumers. From buying local produce and using energy-saving light bulbs to recycling as much of our waste as possible, each of us has the power to make a difference.
