Alcoa Advanced Aerospace Alloys and Materials Used on China's First Home-Produced Regional Jet, ARJ21-700

The first ARJ21 rolled off the production line in Shanghai last December and is expected to be ready for delivery to its first customers in 2009. The ARJ21, developed by major aircraft manufacturer China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I), marks the first step in China’s ambitious plan for its civil aircraft manufacturing industry.

A Unique Spirit
The eastern part of Texas near the Arkansas/Texas border is an area unique unto itself, and home to Alcoa North American Rolled Products-Texarkana. The common alloy products produced at the 900,000 square-foot plant become part of a wide range of finished goods-from cooking utensils to brazing sheet for automobiles. A large segment of the aluminum sheet products supplies the truck trailer and construction markets. Today, Alcoa North American Rolled Products-Texarkana produces aluminum products for a diverse range of customers. Our paint line offers customers sheet products finished in custom colors.
