Outside magazine named Bellingham, Washington, - home to numerous Alcoa Intalco Works employees – one of the Best Towns 2006.
Alcoans in Bellingham enjoy the high quality of life that the region offers, with Mt. Baker, the San Juan Islands, the Georgia Straight, Puget Sound, Bellingham Bay, Lake Whatcom and Canada’s Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island all nearby. The magazine referred to the city of 72,300 as, “one of America’s premier outdoor playgrounds.”
