We promise to continue seeking ways to reduce our plant's impact on the air, water and land, while building on the recycling efforts and conservation practices established during the past two decades.
In the future, we plan to:
Continue to reduce the use of river water and pursue the goal of lowering plant discharges to the river to near zero.
- Convert and replace refrigerant systems to eliminate the use of CFCs (ozone-depleting chemicals).
- Continue to reduce air emissions by improving processes and installing new equipment to meet and surpass stringent state and federal regulations.
- Continue to monitor and protect the surrounding environment from contamination by plant operations.
- Continue our support of sustainable development by integrating environmental considerations into our business plan.
- Continue working with regulators, environmentalists and our neighbors in demonstrating commitment to be a "good neighbor".
