Alcoa Wheel and Forged Products (AWFP) in Cleveland, Ohio, USA recently received a proclamation from the city’s mayor for the company’s financial support of Cleveland Scholarships Program, an organization providing educational opportunities in support of workforce development for the greater Cleveland area. The organization upgraded its resource center with a $30,000 Alcoa Foundation grant and subsequently experienced a 58% increase in usage given the additional programming and support it can now offer. During the mayor’s presentation, AWFP surprised the Cleveland Scholarship Program with an additional $30,000 grant to use this year. Mayor Jane Campbell commended AWFP as the largest financial supporter of the center and emphasized Alcoa’s impact on the Cleveland community.
