Alcoa Metallurg Rus provides support to educational organizations before the new school year

Belaya Kalitva, Rostov Region - Before the start of another school year on September 1st Alcoa Metallurg Rus (Belaya Kalitva) , traditionally provided funding for local educational organizations that are under its support. Currently Alcoa Metallurg Rus sponsors 3 middle schools and 3 kindergartens of Belaya Kalitva.
This year it awarded 400,000 rubles (over US$13,000) for charity. The funding was used to cover the most urgent needs of the organizations. School #2 had a room repaired for use as a medical office. School #3 acquired sanitary wear and materials for repair. School #6 got new musical instruments for music classes. Three kindergartens received new furniture, household appliances and materials for repair.
On September 1, 2009, Ivan Osmachko, Location Manager of Alcoa Metallurg Rus and other executive managers of the location took part in the festive events to celebrate the Day of Knowledge. They visited three local sponsored schools and congratulated the teachers and students on the new school year.
“We are parents and we fully realize that creating normal conditions for study and multifaceted development of children is an investment for the future to prepare those who might be willing to come to work for our location. It also provides for stable work of the parents who know that the school has created healthy and safe conditions for the children.” – said Ivan Osmachko, Location Manager of Alcoa Metallurg Rus.
