Alcoa Bohai Aluminum Industries Company Limited was established on October 9, 2005, a joint venture between Alcoa and CITIC. Alcoa Bohai's current business is aluminum cold rolling, with key products ranging from aluminum plate and foil, finstock, pharmaceutical wrap to household foil.
Alcoa Bohai will invest in a new hot mill line project. The project will start in May 2006 and will be commissioned in 2008. With the hot mill on line, Alcoa Bohai will be able to produce high quality aluminum plate and foil products, such as can body stock, lithographic sheet, transportation plate, corrugated plate and decoration plate. Total capacity will reach 223,000 tons to meet market demand and fill the gap for high quality aluminum plate and foil for Chinese Aluminum industry. |
