Fusina Smelter
Located on the shores of the South Channel in front of Venice Lagoon, the Fusina Smelter was bought by Alcoa on 1st April 2006 from Montedison.  The smelter has 100 end by end pots that are supplied by 160KA of electrical power, which enables the smelter to have a capacity of 45,000 tons a year of primary aluminum.  The Fusina Smelter achieved ISO 14.001 certification in 2005 for the production of aluminum, including anodes.
