Alcoa Foundation Receives Award from Unindustria Venezia for Community Support

FUSINA, March 14, 2003–The Unindusrtia Venezia recognized the Alcoa Foundation with an award for its outstanding support for the local community. Paolo Scarone, President of Unindustria Venezia and CEO of Enel, personally presented the award to Alessandro Profili representing the Alcoa Foundation.
During the award ceremony the Alcoa Foundation also presented grants to three local non-profit organizations. The Amici del Cuore received Euro 4,842 for a newsletter on the study of heart disease. Handydog received Euro 32,000 for a special pet assistance vehicle, and Croce Verde received Euro 56,000 for an ambulance.
