Alcoa Cold-Finished Screw Machine Stock: A term assigned to a family of cold-finished products that have been engineered for the screw machine industry. Various tempers of alloys 2011, 4032, 6013, 6020, 6061, and 6262 are fabricated in twelve foot lengths with cold-finished dimensional tolerances and screw machine stock straightness tolerances. These wire, rod and hexagonal bar products have a special surface finish which enhances machining and are chamfered for automatic feeding.
