Aluminum Forging Stock

Forging Stock: A wrought product which is available both in the as-fabricated (F) and annealed (O) tempers. Forging stock is made in Class I (Extruded) and Class II (Cold-Finished) stock form. The annealed temper of Class I forging stock is often used in impact applications requiring improved flow characteristics while Class II Forging stock offers tighter dimensional tolerances as compared to Class I Forging stock.
Alcoa Forging Stock Capabilities
Alcoa offers a wide variety of alloys in aluminum forging stock in F (as-fabricated) and O (annealed) tempers and Class I and Class II product forms.
Class II aluminum forging stock offers two to ten times tighter diameter tolerances than Class I.
