Pink coffee
Fjardaal invites women to a reception today on the woman's rights day at 5 pm.
Alcoa Fjardaal has the policy of half of its employees to be women. Out of the first 400 employees, a third were women.
On June 19 every year, Icelandic women celebrate their right to vote, which they received in 1915. Fjardaal congratulates Icelandic women them on the occasion and invites them to a “pink gathering” at 5 pm on June 19 at the smelter. Women employees will deliver short speeches, and there will be light refreshments and musical entertainment and sightseeing tours around the smelter area.
