Alcoa-Köfém in Székesfehérvár, Hungary hosted dignitaries and the media at a recent reception where Alcoa Foundation and the plant presented more than US$330,000 in grants to local non-profit organizations.

About 90 people attended the celebration including the mayors of Székesfehérvár, Mór and Nemesvámos, the three Hungarian cities where Alcoa businesses operate. The mayor of Székesfehérvár expressed his gratitude to the Foundation and Alcoa. He said Alcoa’s relationship with the local government and communities can serve as an example to other corporations, calling attention to the national awards Alcoa has received in Hungary for its corporate citizenship. Local print and television media outlets covered the event, where Dr. Béla Forgó, Alcoa’s deputy country manager and CFO Hungary, addressed the gathering by outlining the mission of the Foundation and its global activity.
