Alcoa-Kofem recognized in Official Visit

George Herbert Walker III, U. S. ambassador to Hungary, recently visited the Alcoa-Kofem facility in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. His purpose was to view the plant’s robots and automated processes, and to learn about Alcoa-Kofem’s plans for the future. General Manager Phil Collins and Ferenc Furulyás presented a short overview of the facility, its products and customers, and conducted a plant tour. The Ambassador, who said he would return to review more of Alcoa-Kofem’s manufacturing units, is a cousin to former U.S. President George Herbert Walker Bush. Alcoa represents the second biggest U.S. investment in Hungary after GE.
